  1. 13-15 October 2008: 3DPHONE Project participated in the NEM Summit in Saint Malo, France The project partners demonstrated the project’s interim results and disseminated the project’s goals at the NEM Summit on 13-15 October 2008 in Saint Malo.      10-11 October 2008: Implementation Team Workshop was organised in Paris, France An Implementation Team, which consists of engineers and senior engineers from each partner, has been set up for a stronger integration of project results, without changing the organization or timing of the project.   1. 8-9 September 2008: 3DPhone Management Committee Meeting was held in Barcelona The project partners came together in the Management Committee Meeting which is organised twice a year. Various decisions were taken about managerial and technical issues.

  1. May 2008: The new 3D Media Cluster web site and email list has been set up by the 3DPHONE Project As being a part of the 3D Media Cluster, 3DPHONE Project has taken the responsibility for the cluster’s web site and email infrastructure.
     28-30 May 2008: A joint meeting of 3DPHONE - Mobile 3DTV Projects was held following the 3DTV-Conference 2008, Istanbul A technical meeting of 3DPHONE Project was held on 31 May 2008 following the 3DTV-conference 2008. Participants of the Mobile3DTV project and the CTO of Texas Instruments also took part in the technical discussions about the choice of hardware platforms.

• > April 2008

  1. 16-17 April 2008: 3DPHONE participated in the 1st FP7 Networked Media Concertation meeting in Algarve, Portugal, being collocated with IEEE ISCE. Projects use this framework to start bilateral cooperation for sharing the procedures, databases and test platforms, pear discussion of intermediate results, interchange of deliverables or, when justified, to cluster with other projects around specific topics of interest and eventually seek consensus on architectures, standards, inputs to policy. The 3DPHONE Project contributes to the newly established 3D Media Cluster.

  1. 11-14 February 2008: 3DPHONE project was presented at 3GSM Congress in Barcelona, Spain A technical meeting of 3DPHONE Project was held on 31 May 2008 following the 3DTV-conference 2008. Participants of the Mobile3DTV project and the CTO of Texas Instruments also took part in the technical discussions about the choice of hardware platforms.
     February 2008: 3DPHONE Project website has been launched The Project website will be the main gateway to follow the project related activities, developments, exchange of ideas and information and getting feedback from various interest groups. It provides all functionality needed for collaboration, including an external area for public information and news of the project, and an internal area for project governance documents, email lists, document templates, and an SVN-based version control system for collaboration. All deliverables and publications will be available on the website.
     7-8 February 2008: The 3DPHONE Project Kick-off Meeting was organised Bilkent University, as the coordinator, organised the 3DPHONE Project Kick-off Meeting as a two-day event in Ankara, Turkey.
